This Changed The Way I Do Business

Lately I’ve been having a ton of fun creating new and exciting things within my business! I have YOU to thank. Without you, it wouldn’t be possible…. SO a HUGE THANK YOU is in order.

You may have been aware that big changes are coming. I’m in the midst of restructuring my business in a big way.

While I’ve been restructuring things quietly on the back end, I’ve learned a great deal about marketing, mindset and the dealings of business.
Clear Vision

I learned that most teachers and business owners talk around issues or deals, instead of being direct. I find people are often vague when doing business dealings in the energy healing world. The reason they talk in circles is to create confusion so their clients feel the need to pay them for further clarification. Strange right?!

Well, I’ve never done that. It never made sense to me to be vague and indirect. The difference is, those who are direct, are actually getting more students right now. The people who are playing all the games and holding onto their information are losing clients.

I recently revamped my website www.OmorfiHealing.com and added some bells and whistles that I didn’t have in the past. I have also been doing various social media promotions to get myself out there. When I hired someone to help me with the social media work, I asked “Exactly what is this going to cost me?”. I also asked, “Are there any hidden fees I need to be aware of?”.

Being up front and asking these questions saved me a lot of time and confusion. One of the other questions that really helped me was, “Are there various levels of pricing packages that you can give me?”. It forced them to give me all the details up front, and I had much more choice this way. This allowed me to make an educated decision about how to move forward.

These questions are going to help you no matter what kind of business you’re in. Even though these seem super simple, you’d be surprised at how often we forget to ask these questions before making a deal.

Right before I sign a contract or make a deal of any kind, I always ask “Please write out exactly what you are going to deliver, and when I can expect you to deliver each item on the list.” Also, “What exactly do I have to deliver in order for you to complete your work?” Boy has that last one helped me! Have you ever given someone a task and they didn’t get it done because they were waiting for you to get a piece of information to them? This eliminates that confusion by simply asking up front.

After the deal is made, and you are working with this person or company, you’ll want to follow up to see how it’s going. Ask yourself (in your head) “Is this deal actually getting me what I desire?”. If not, then ask yourself, “what can I adjust so that I get what I desire and require?”.

You want to make sure you get as much information up front so that your deal goes as smoothly as possible. The clearer you are of all the details prior to the deal, the smoother things will unfold, and everyone involved will feel more satisfied throughout the process.

I have had to end business relationships in the past, and the way I have done it has allowed everyone to continue to be on good terms. I do so with no judgment or criticism of the person or company. I simple explain that the way things are functioning doesn’t work for me. Remember that you do not have to explain yourself further than this.

Sometimes people may ask you what WOULD work for you. In that case you have an opportunity to choose if there is anything they can do or be differently that would indeed work for you and your business.

I know for some of you this may seem confrontational, but it’s actually the opposite. It’s being forward and up front. By getting all the details and being clear on what you desire, you avoid confrontation and messy misunderstandings later down the line.

So, ask yourself if the vagueness you’ve been hiding behind is really contributing to you and your business, or are you ready to get clear and make a different choice today?

Here are the questions for you:
Exactly what is this going to cost me?
Are there any hidden fees I need to be aware of?
Are there various levels of pricing packages that you can give me?
Please write out exactly what you are going to deliver, and when I can expect you to deliver each item on the list.
What exactly do I have to deliver in order for you to complete your work?
Is this deal actually getting me what I desire?
What can I adjust so that I get what I desire and require?
Is the vagueness you’ve been hiding behind really contributing to you and your business?

As always, ask the question, and don’t look for the answer. The awareness will come to you, and you may even find that things start going better than you ever imagined! Doesn’t that sound fun!? Try out these questions…but only do it if you want an easier life.
